Really Epic Dog Group purchases land for development in the KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa.

Really Epic Dog Group is delighted to announce the purchase of land for development in the KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa, which will form the centrepiece of the group’s newest and, arguably, most exciting expansion plans to date.

More details of the project will be announced in the months ahead; one of the sites is in the Nambiti ‘Big Five’ Private Game Reserve.

“We are hugely excited about the plans we have for our developments and to be able to invest further in a country that means so much to me personally – South Africa,” said Wayne Scholes, the Chief Executive of RED.

“These have been strange and challenging times for everyone but we have been able to push ahead with our work and are committed to creating something really special, that will involve the local community, create jobs, opportunity and, above all else, become a place of peace, love and understanding throughout these difficult times. We are working with some wonderful and brilliant people on this project who really understand our goals and plans; They understand what we want to deliver and they know how to deliver it.

“The land to be developed holds a special meaning and significance to me personally and that makes this incredible project more special and exciting. It’s a place that I hold close to my heart and has a special feeling I only get when I am there so I can’t wait to share more when the time is right!”

Really Epic Dog Group has long had a presence in Africa through several of the company’s businesses. The most recent of which is 7 Elite Academy opening a branch in Tanzania in 2019, which has brought employment to highly skilled coaches in Dar es Salaam and professional football training to hundreds of talented local children. Red Touch Media and Laduma have employed teams in South Africa since the inception of the Group, which started in South Africa over a decade ago. “The scope of this project and the commitment we have to it as a leadership team, marks it out as something a bit different,” added Ben Smith, president of Really Epic Dog.

“We have handpicked a stellar team of people to push this forward during the Covid-19 pandemic and we have made great progress while being able to build some incredible partnerships during lockdown that will ensure that when this business launches, it does so with a real bang. We couldn’t be more excited about what lies ahead.”
