7 Elite Academy has embraced technology to help its young people across the world continue their development during the Covid-19 restrictions.
The youth soccer organisation, which is as part of the Really Epic Dog Group, runs teams in the United States, United Kingdom and Africa. The international club has developed a series of Home Technical Programs, including video challenges and training sessions.
Players and coaches are also meeting on a regular basis to share ideas and coaching tips via Zoom, while a series of Online Masterclass sessions are also set to be launched. Selected videos of Home Technical Programs and player challenges are posted on 7 Elite Academy social media channels, which youngsters are encouraged to share with friends and family.
Anthony Godfrey, 7 Elite Academy Global Technical Director, said: “7 Elite Academy, with hundreds of players across the world, is uniquely placed to offer a comprehensive training and development program during the current restrictions. “Of course, the overriding priority is to make sure our players and their families are safe, while following all the latest advice from local government. That is so important.
“But we are determined to give our youngsters the kind continuous support and development from coaching staff that they enjoy throughout the year. “Our Home Technical Programs run through a set series of coaching tasks and sessions, all of which are designed to maximise the potential of our young people. They have been an enormous success. “The Zoom meetings have proven to be absolutely vital in retaining and developing the relationships between players, their team-mates and coaching staff. We cant stress enough how important that is.
“Our Online Masterclass sessions will be launched in the coming days and will feature some high-profile names from soccer. They will be an opportunity for our players to gain a unique insight into the professional game. “To top it all off, our players have been sending us plenty of fantastic videos for our social media channels, showing them working through the Home Technical Program. “I have been so impressed by the work ethic shown by every single member of our academy, be that a parent or player, wherever they may be across the world. It is proof that we truly are a global football family.”
